Wild garlic is a wonderful ingredient for many recipes and it is in season right now. Anthony Sargeant photographed this fantastic bed of wild garlic (Allium ursinum) in a shady spot between an old stone wall and a Shropshire country lane. No flowers yet though some buds are appearing. Pick the leaves and use in cooking, do not pull up the bulbs. A wonderful wild and free food that can be found all over the country.
