Anthony Sargeant took this photograph from the bedroom window of his house in Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire, England, at 8.30 pm on the 26th August 2016. The tall spire is Newark Parish Church. Newark is an interesting and ancient Market town with many fine Victorian, Georgian and earlier buildings. It has a magnificent market square which is active 6 days a week . In the centre of the town on the banks of the River Trent is a castle in which King John died probably of dysentery. This was soon after he had lost some of his baggage train (allegedly including The Crown Jewels) will crossing the marshy estuary of the Wash.
